The English Language Arts program of Norwalk Public Schools is aligned with the standards of the Connecticut State Department of Education, the International Reading Association, and National Council of Teachers of English.  Our curriculum standards have been prioritized to emphasize the high-leverage skills that will prepare our students for success in many arenas--school, mandated assessments, and in life.  We are dedicated to developing our students' proficiency as readers, writers, speakers, listeners, and viewers with a lifelong love of literacy and learning.
