Health Education includes knowledge and skills in the areas of  substance abuse, injury and disease prevention, healthy and active lifestyle and human growth and development. Decsion making and goal setting strategies are discussed throughtout the curriculum. Health education is required for every 6th through 10th grader. All elementary school students receive health instruction through the physical education program. In addition, Norwalk Police educators teach 5th graders Drug Abuse Resistance Education.
