Instruction is hands-on and process-centered in the elementary and middle schools and covers units in physical, earth and life science each year. Three years of science are required for high school graduation. Our high school program prepares students to be scientifically literate citizens in a world that increasingly leans upon new developments in science and technology. In addition to the basic science courses, the high school program offers a number of electives that are addressed to specialized areas of interest such as astronomy, marine biology, forensics and biotechnology.
