Created in 1989, The Governor's Prevention Partnership is a not-for-profit partnership between state government and business leaders with a mission to keep Connecticut's youth safe, successful and drug-free.

The Human Services Council’s motivating force has been the concern of a core group of citizens from Norwalk, Westport, Weston, Wilton and other nearby towns, for achieving the best possible quality of life for all of our neighbors - particularly those who require a helping hand. The Human Services Council is host agency to a myriad of programs, including, the Children’s Connection, the Community Prevention Task Force, the Dr. Robert E. Appleby School Based Health Centers, the Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition, the Norwalk Mentor Program, the Advocates Group and the Voluntary Action Center of Mid-Fairfield County.

The Norwalk Education Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization committed to quality public education for all of Norwalk’s children. We effect positive change by providing programs and funds for innovative classroom instruction, teacher and technology training, and a variety of learning opportunities beyond the school day.

Mentoring – the presence of caring adults offering support, advice, friendship, reinforcement and constructive examples – has proved to be a powerful tool for helping young people fulfill their potential. Mentoring can help by improving young people’s attitudes towards their parents, peers and teachers; encouraging students to stay motivated and focused on their education; providing a positive way for young people to spend free time; helping young people face daily challenges; and offering young people opportunities to consider new career paths and get much-needed economic skills and knowledge

Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), family service agency that meets the needs of more than 10,000 individuals--including children, adults, and families--throughout Fairfield County and beyond. Skilled professionals serve clients in seven primary impact areas: youth development, family strengthening, foster care, adoption, behavioral health, homeless service, and services for seniors. Eighty-nine cents of every dollar given to FCA directly benefits those in need in our community.
