Artsonia Finalist!!!

We have GREAT Artsonia news to share with you!  CMS First Grade student, Colby Loughran was selected as a FINALSIT for last week's "Artist of the Week" Award for the PreK-3rd Grade age group!  Congratulations Colby!!!

Visitor Parking Changes!

Please note that the Norwalk Housing Authority has recently changed the signage at the King Kennedy Apartment Complex to read, "Resident Parking Only," therefore, the school is no longer permitted to use their parking lot.  Parking is, however available for Columbus parents at the school's basketball court in the rear which is accessed through the King Kennedy approach to Arthur Perschino Way.  Additionally, we are continuing to work with the Norwalk Police Department and the Traffic and Zoning Committee to allow parking for Columbus business throughout the day on Chestnut Street.  If you're interested in helping to support this new initiative to alleviate parking congestion at Columbus, please contact Teri Gaberman, Parent Coordinator at gabermant@norwalkps.org or at #203-899-2840, ext. 118.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and for your continued support of our school!

Arrival/Dismissal Reminders

School arrival begins at 9:05AM and our front door student drop off system is in place.  If you choose to bring your child into school, please park at the school's basketball court in the rear which is accessed through the King Kennedy approach to Arthur Perschino Way.  ALL students in grades K-5 travelling by car will be dismissed via the front door pick up procedure.  Parents who choose to pick up their children must send in a note to the classroom teacher.  ALL parents entering the building to pick up their child beyond the lobby area, MUST sign-in at the Main Office.  Please note that when dropping off students who are late to school, an adult must bring them into the office and sign them in.  Thank You!
