Jake’s favorite subjects in school are art, and science. In art he likes drawing and things of that nature. His favorite thing in science is doing the science project, and experimenting. He likes to experiment with chemistry and physics. In the science fair project, Jake did a project on heat waves
Jake is also a talented violinist and has been playing since 3rd grade. He can listen to a song, figure out the notes, write them down, and then play the song well with a little practice!
Jake has shown many talents in the Academically Talented class which he has been in since 3rd grade. Last year he had to do a project involving pioneers, so he taught himself how to play “Home on the Range” by listening to it, writing down the notes, performing for his class, playing it on the violin, and writing a report about it. Now the class is in the Architect unit and Jake plans to make a model of his home.
When Jake grows up, he wants to be a paleontologist. Jake has always been interested in dinosaur bones. He has wanted to be a paleontologist since 1st grade. Jake is ten years old. He has a brother named Quinten who is in middle school. Jake has too many pets which he shares the responsibility of caring for with his brother.
Jake has been in Boy Scouts since he was in 1st grade, and has earned pins in Aquanaut, Outdoorsman, Survivor, Forestry, Science, Engineer, Naturalist, B.B. gun, Archery, Artist, and Fishing. This year he will achieve the Arrow of Light, the highest honor to earn before going into the Boy Scouts. In April he will be an official Boy Scout.
Jake also has been taking karate since he was four years old. He is a red belt. He plans on earning his Black Belt by the time he’s thirteen years old.
He admires C in C. He admires him because he was Jake’s favorite 2nd grade teacher along with Joe Doaks, that Dr. nice dude, and that evil guy.
Jake loves to be in the mission. He thinks he can do any job because he is physically and mentally fit, he is motivated and dedicated to the team and to the mission!
He also would like to see the mission go to the moon this year, just like the Apollo 11 did 40 years ago. He knows he can be an important part of the mission because it is really hard to make him panic, and he is a super- multi – tasker! He is a trouble shooter because he is really good at Minute Mysteries and figuring out how to build things, and fix them.
