Mission Title: Public Affairs Officer

Marcus Garcia has achieved many goals so far in his life. He was born in the city of Norwalk, Connecticut on May, 19th 1998. His many accomplishments are learning to play soccer, basketball, baseball, being in Academically Talented, getting a 3rd place award in the Columbus Magnet School science fair, playing the violin in the Columbus magnet School Orchestra, being part of the Cub Scout program and staying with the Young Astronauts program through thick and thin (or at least through 1st-5th grade).

Marcus feels proud that some of his teachers think he will become a  great person someday. His present height is 4 feet and six inches. Educated at Columbus Magnet School he was influenced by some very amazing teachers. Some of those teachers are Mr. Pearce, Mrs. Z and in 5th grade Mrs. Velez and Mrs. Bray.

Marcus is kind and outgoing because of his loving parents Mr. and Mrs. Edwin/Eisabell Garcia. They’ve encouraged him to do his best and pushed him hard so that he could achieve his dreams and goals. Some of his current goals are to be as great as his dad, be as smart as Mr. Pearce, become a better friend and person, work hard, have fun, and Never Giving Up…just like any astronaut who was ever in NASA or any of the Apollo missions… and just like Marcus Garcia.
