Mission Update 6

Good afternoon, this is Flight Director, Mitchell Bartolo, Both Public Affairs Officers are unavailable at this time, but they asked me to report the good news that the crew of the command module, Columbia, is safe and is at this time on schedule to return home early tomorrow morning.

The failure of all power in the spacecraft was related to a glitch in one of the general purpose computers. Working together, all  16 members of Mission Control, along with the eight astronauts, were able to put their considerable years of astronaut training to good use.

Demonstrating the kind of teamwork that has made Luna Redux the most successful mission to date, the controllers and astronauts solved three algorithms and input the results into the GPC. The computer immediately responded by restoring the command module’s power and ending the emergency.

To re-cap, the command module, Columbia, is safe, as is her entire crew.
