Fairfield County String Festival

Western Regional Music Festival

Maeve Bustell, bass clarinet and Harper Gande, flute, were accepted to perform in the band for the Western Regional Music Festival. Both students are 7th graders at Nathan Hale. The festival is sponsored by the CT Music Educators Association. The festival is made up of top middle school students from all over Fairfield County. Students are selected through an audition where they perform a required solo piece, scales and sight reading. The festival takes place March 18th and 19th at Western CT State University. The students will perform under a special guest conductor in a concert featuring the Western Regional Jazz Band, Chorus and Band.
