WELCOME TO THE HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
Health Education courses are required for graduation. The course develops the concept that a person's health is greatly influenced by the kind of information that person has and the way this information is used in making decisions about the individual's life. Throughout the course, the student will be expected to demonstrate how effectively he or she uses information and skill in making decisions about critical health topics. Credit earned in Physical Education counts toward honor roll, graduation and rank-in-class. Students must pass 1/2 unit of Health to graduate. They earn one-quarter (1/4) unit for each quarter of health.
Physical Education courses are required for graduation. Students may choose their physical education courses from a wide variety of offerings. Credit earned in Physical Education counts toward honor roll, graduation and rank-in-class. Students must pass 1 unit of Physical Education to graduate. They earn one-quarter(1/4) unit for each quarter of physical education. The student will be expected to demonstrate skill development and an understanding and application of the rules, strategies and concepts of the units of activities.
