WELCOME TO THE SOCIAL STUDIES DEPARTMENT

The purpose of the Social Studies curriculum is to provide learning programs to prepare our young people to be humane and rational participants in an ever-changing environment. In order to live a successful life in this expanding world students need to develop a keen understanding of the social, intellectual, political, and economic advances they will face. the scope and sequence of this curriculum will prepare the students to achieve these goals and assist in their growth as a citizen in a multicultural, global community.
