 Blue Team-  Stathi
Stathi's enthusiasm for life and learning is contagious to those on the blue team.  Being the Co-President of the National Junior Honor Society Stathi is always willing and able to go beyond what is expected of him in and out of class.  Way to Go Stathi keep it up!

Gold team- William is our selection for the Gold Team student of the month.  William exhibits all of the characteristics of Ponus Pride.  He is a natural born leader. Whenever William is in a group, he takes the lead and guides his classmates to success. He shows excellence in his work as well as his attitude and character. He is extremely respectful of his peers, and he is empathetic towards others. We are glad to have him on the Gold Team this year. Congratulations William! 

Green Team-- Trinity is our student of the Month.
Trinity is a self motivated student who always puts forth her best effort.  She comes to class prepared, participates, and has a positive attitude. 

Trinity has worked very hard since coming to Ponus and really deserves the recognition. The Green Team is very proud of Trinity and her accomplishments. Trinity is a model student and exemplifies all of the characteristics of Ponus P.R.I.D.E.

Orange team-  Mikayla 
Team Orange is excited and thrilled to announce that Mikayla has been selected as the Student of the Month for November. Mikayla is a bright orange spark plug  filling the Orange Grove hallways with sunshine and warmth. Mikayla excels in her academics as well as meeting and exceeding the Ponus PRIDE pledge. Mikayla commits her eyes, ears and mind to learning. She works to demonstrate the Ponus PRIDE attributes to her fellow classmates.  Mikayla is also a fabulous soccer player. As the goalie for the State Cup Champion, Blue Thunder, Mikayla knows how to bear down and focus to accomplish difficult tasks. Way to go Mikayla, Team Orange is proud of you. Remember to BE ORANGE, STAY ORANGE!

Purple Team-  Nadia
Nadia represents Ponus Pride.  She is a mature young lady who takes pride in her academic work.  Besides being responsible for taking the attendance envelopes down to the office every morning, Nadia is a role model for others to follow in her attitude and respectfulness to her teachers each day.  Nadia is also an active member of Student Council.  She shows leadership skills by not being afraid of taking responsibility of projects or making announcements on the PA each morning.  Her can-do spirit will lead her to the many possibilities that the future holds for her.  For these reasons her Purple Team teachers recognize and congratulate her for being the Student of the Month.

Red team--   Mary 
Mary exhibits all of the qualities of a Ponus Pride student. She shows perseverence in every class and commits her eyes,ears, and mind to learning. She is a positive role model and is on her way"Up the mountain" to college! We are proud to have mary on the Red Team.

 

Related Arts-  Raheem
Raheem made a big successful effort to catch up in French class recently. We are proud of him for demonstrating perseverance. He didn’t give up even though the task was very difficult.

Related Arts- Darius

Darius is an extremely helpful student in related arts.  He is prepared for class, always follows the correct procedures for in class participation and helps other students.  Darius is also being a class leader and showing his talents and encouraging others to participate.  Keep up the good work!
