2012 Boston Trip
We are pleased to announce that plans for the annual class trip to Boston for 8th grade students have been finalized. Aligned with the Norwalk Public Schools Curriculum, the trip highlights Colonial America and its struggle for independence. The trip is scheduled for April 25 - 27, 2012. Only those students who have demonstrated acceptable and responsible behavior at Ponus will be able to participate.
Parents, if you would like your child to participate, please sign and return the overnight fieldtrip permission slip which can be found on the Norwalk Public schools website or have your child pick one up from Ms. Buono in Room 108C. The total cost is $449.00. If you prefer, smaller payments may be made at anytime provided that the full payment is paid no later than March 5, 2012. We feel your child will enjoy this educational and fun experience in Boston. Please make checks payable to Ponus Ridge Middle School. Spaces will be reserved in the order that deposits are received. STOP & SHOP A+ SCHOOL REWARDS PROGRAM

Starting now through March 29, 2012, Ponus Ridge Middle School will have the opportunity to earn cash through Stop & Shop A+ School Rewards Program.
All you have to do is:
Log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus to register online:
·         Click “Our Stores” / A+ / Register Your Card.
·         Sign in – You need your Stop & Shop Card Number.
·         Enter Ponus’ ID number #09011 (You can choose up to two

schools.)
OR
Dial 1-877-275-2758 to register your card over the phone.

After you register your card, each shopping trip at Stop & Shop using your Stop & Shop Card earns CASH for our school! Each month, the amount of CASH awarded will be updated on the Stop & Shop website. You can track the amount of points you earn for our school by checking your grocery receipt and online when you create an account at www.stopandshop.com. Our school will receive a check at the end of the program. The money can be used for any of our school’s educational needs.

Remember, even if you registered your card last year, you must re-register this year for our school to receive credit. Attending to this simple process makes a huge difference to our school. We need your support. Please be sure to register your card to benefit Ponus Ridge. Also, don’t forget to encourage your friends and relatives to do the same.
