Evidence: proof in support of a claim or statement

Fact: something that is true or that has to happen

Investigate: look into learn the fact

Opinion: personal view of belief

Prove: establish the truth of

Study: research or investigation into a subject

Test: method or process for proving or disproving a claim

*If your child has completed the assignment there should be some writing in red ink stating  "good job", "nice work", or "awesome" followed by a smiley face. No ink = not complete.

September 9-12: Study for Unit One Vocabulary test on Friday, September 12th. Extra-credit index cards (+5 points on test) are due by Thursday, September 11th.

*Summer Reading Packets were due August 29th - if your child has not turned it in, please encourage them to do so A.S.A.P.

Nightly Homework for the Year (Posted on 9/2/14):

Read for at least 20 minutes each night. I am still in the process of determining what form the book report will take this year - stay tuned for more details! Students should use the Book Report Guidelines found here!
